Studio Benedetti, founded in 1989 by Renzo Benedetti (1918-1998) and Enrico Benedetti, combines tradition and continuity with dynamism enabling operation on an international level.
The firm, which has always paid particular attention to building trusting relationships with client sadhering to their needs and perspective, has grown over the years thanks to the development of the clientele and the employment of young professionals, many of whom started their professional careers and were trained internally at Studio Benedetti.
The firm started its business with Dr. Renzo Benedetti, a Tax Law scholar boasting a long and distinguished career in Financial Administration, doing tax consultancy and with his son Enrico, in the second half of the eighties.
After a period of collaboration primarily with Studio Castelli Oldoini and with Prof. Giancarlo Croxatto, Assistant Professor in Tax Law at the Faculty of Economics in Genova, Renzo and Enrico Benedetti started working independently in 1989, specialising in consultancy for businesses and companies, with particular attention to tax consultancy, tax litigation, corporate consultancy, accountancy plus extraordinary deals like mergers, acquisitions, sales, transformation and reorganisation of companies, as well as the tax issues of families holding significant assets.
The firm is growing and focusing more on issues with greater legal content, both due to Enrico Benedetti’s interest in legal matters, and for the increasing commitment of the firm to M & A activities with the ever increasing greater need to tackle contractual issues and disputes.

From the beginning of the current decade, the firm has evolved providing a more organised structure to the legal department, with the introduction of the first internal lawyers, and furthermore some of the accountants, including Enrico Benedetti himself who graduated in jurisprudence and obtained the qualification to practice the legal profession.
Due to this, legal consultancy in the contractual and corporate field has been further developed. The firm has also begun providing legal assistance in civil litigation, in the field of economic and tax crime.
This “development model” was chosen specifically, not to simply bring lawyers and accountants under the same roof in the hope of them collaborating, but to form a group of professionals who, even on an individual level, and in their respective specialisations, could develop their awareness and capacity to perceive problems and solutions that belong to the training of both lawyers and accountants.
The path followed has had a positive response in the field and has also led to a sizeable expansion, with the acquisition of new office space in 2016 in a prestigious location in which the firm had already been operating for over two decades.
The firm, which still remains faithful to its “artisanal” approach, can now cover a wide range of tax, civil and criminal issues related to the business world and wealth management.
The firm takes care of the interests of businesses, different sized companies, including multinationals active in the industry (with particular reference to the steel industry, construction, chemistry, renewable energy, shipbuilding), logistics (with particular interest in activities relating to ports, terminals, delivery companies etc.) and generally in the shipping field and related services.
